Q: What does "PDA" mean?

A: PDA was founded in 1946 as the Parenteral Drug Association. Because PDA's mission and activities extend beyond parenteral drugs to all dosage forms, we are now simply "PDA".

A: No this is not necessary, but there are many benefits in joining. For more information
you can click on this link to go to the PDA National site:

pda.org/about/membership.html

Q: What kind of people join PDA?

A: PDA's membership includes microbiologists, chemists, pharmacists, engineers, and others
sharing a common interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality. Members include
employees of pharmaceutical companies, suppliers of goods and services to the pharmaceutical
industry, academia, government agencies, and independent consultants.

Q: Does PDA do consulting?

A: No. PDA is a nonprofit association and does not perform consulting services
